The National Coagulation Centre has produced a series of videos to mark this year’s World Haemophilia Day, which took place on Friday April 17th. The videos are based around this year’s theme: “Diagnosis: First Step to Care“.
The videos debunk some of the most common myths surrounding bleeding disorders such as the belief that only boys and men are affected, that there has to be a family history to have a bleeding disorder and that people with bleeding disorders can’t play high intensity sports.
Other videos in the series focus on diagnosis, and discuss why it’s important to get a diagnosis and how to go about doing so.
