The Patient Advocacy Service

The Patient Advocacy Service is an independent, free and confidential service to assist people to make a complaint about the care they have experienced in public acute hospitals.

Launched in 2019, it is funded directly by the Department of Health and developed by The National Advocacy Service for People with Disabilities, this new service is for all patients of public hospitals.

The Patient Advocacy Service can provide you with the information and support you need to make a complaint to the HSE over an experience you have had.

It receives no HSE funding and is entirely independent of the HSE.
