Von Willebrand Disorder (VWD) is the most common inherited bleeding disorder yet 90% of people with VWD globally remain undiagnosed.
We fully appreciate the need for greater education about VWD, greater public awareness and greater emphasis from the Society. To this end, VWD was the focus of our World Hemophilia Week 2021 with a series of activities including webinars, launch of a new VWD booklet, new animated VWD video & social media campaign.
For the latter, we shared a series of short video clips from Breda Quealy & her son Barry who both have VWD, as they provide an insight into living with VWD.
