Colm Walsh Swims over 20km in Cork Swim

Irish Haemophilia Society member, Colm Walsh, recently completed the Fastnet swim in Co. Cork. This extraordinary feat involved swimming 20.3km in 5 hours and 53 minutes. Colm started his swim at Baltimore and finished at Fastnet Lighthouse. He was accompanied by his crew who went beside him in a boat, offering support and direction.

Colm has severe haemophilia and is restricted in the use of his legs, completing his swim using his upper body alone. Colm is truly an inspiration to anyone interested in long-distance swimming or any other sporting goal.
