Relatives

The Irish Haemophilia Society offers support to relatives of people with haemophilia or related bleeding disorders. Our programme for relatives (grandparents, siblings, aunts and uncles) aims to give a basic understanding of haemophilia and helps gain valuable information. Although a maternal grandmother may have experience of her husband’s haemophilia, there may be a gap between this experience and the reality of haemophilia care today. Relatives of children with mild or moderate haemophilia can have misconceptions about the condition and our aim is to correct this through information and education.

If you would like more information, please contact Robert in the office on 01 6579900.
